Detroit International Feis 2026
The Moran School of Irish Dance made its first feis debut on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 at the Detroit International Feis in Livonia, MI. 11 dancers participated, 10 of them for the very first time. We’re so proud of their dancing and getting up on stage in front of some big crowds!
Warming up!
Our U7 first feis competitors, Amira (1st in light jig, 2nd in slip jig) and Inez (2nd in light jig, 3rd in reel, 1st in slip jig)
U10 Miles (2nd in light jig, 1st in reel)
U9 Maddie (4th in light jig and reel, 6th in slip jig), U8 Freya (1st in light jig, 3rd in reel and slip jig), U10 Olivia (1st in light jig and slip jig, 3rd in reel), and U10 Ada (6th in light jig, 4th in reel and slip jig)
Despite it being her first feis, Penelope bravely took on Beginner 2 level competition and earned three top 3 placements, moving up her light jig, slip jig, and treble jig to novice! 1st in light jig (out of 10!), 2nd in slip jig, and 3rd in treble jig
(from the right) Stella, U10 (5th in light jig, 6th in reel and slip jig), and Lily U10 (3rd in light jig, 2nd in reel, after only dancing 3 months!)
Mina, who danced beautifully in the U17 Open Championship competition. So excited to see her on stage as she prepares for the North American Irish Dance Championships next month in Orlando!
Congratulations to all dancers! They’re already back in the studio working hard for the next feis.
